DAY 27

It's crazy to think that at this time next Saturday I'll be on a plane, leaving behind Dublin and the country that I've fallen in love with.

I'm going to miss the early morning sunrise through my window at 5am, Grafton Street and St. Stephens Green in the middle of the day, nights out with the girls, the music, a certain someone, the friendliness of every Irish person I've met, and above all... THE FOOD.

Steph and I have honestly become obsessed with some of the Irish cuisine here, and in our last week we're attempting to savor every morsel.

BON APPETIT!

Thus, are goal for today was to visit the Farmers Market and Street Performers World Championship in Merrion Square.

Both were a great success, with Wicklow pork rolls, salmon crepes, scones, fresh fruit juice, ice-cream, and of course some Bulmers.

(I'm aware that this all sounds really gross. No, we didn't eat them all in unity).

After stuffing our stomachs and emptying our wallets, we decided it was time for something a little less expensive.

Dublin was hosting the AIB Street Performance World Championships, and hey, who doesn't like a little juggling in the middle of the day? Needless to say, it was very interesting. The event hosts some of the best contortionists, magicians, break-dancers, comedians and other world-class professional jesters. They battle it out to win the crowd and overall title of best performer.

This was the fifth year for the city to host the free festival, and it draws over 2,000 people each day.

We laid on the grass for awhile, reading and soaking up the beautiful weather. Steph and I made a "Top Three Things We Miss About Texas" list. Here they are:

Steph:
1. Mom
2. Shower
3. Taco Shack

Mine:
1. Mummsie
2. My bed
3. Mexican Food

As you can tell, we're getting married. No big deal.

Next came our "Top Things to Do in Dublin Before We Leave" list:

1. Walk out of a pub with Ireland's top beer glasses (I have Bulmers and Guinness, just missing Carlsberg)
2. Swim at Bray
3. Eat at the Bagel Factory (yes, we like to eat)
4. Visit Phoenix Park
5. Climb to the top of the Spire
6. Dublin sunrise
7. Go on the Literary Pub Crawl (culture and drinking combined)
8. Ireland National Gallery
9. Run/bike on the coastline (Steph has to learn how to ride a bike in order to do this)
10. Form a massive flash-mob in Temple Bar area to Irish music

We WILL accomplish all this before we leave.

love and Texas fight y'all
